Dual Master Cylinder Installation, Part I

Here is my attempt at a dual MC system.

A 911 buddy has modified the stock pedal cluster to accept the 2 MC's.

Next step will be to remove the orginal pedal cluster and install the modified one. This will require fitting the PC into the car. The PC will first be bolted to the stock rear 8mm studs. Then the 2 new 8mm front holes and 2 MC holes will be marked on the front firewall. The four holes will be drilled out as marked.

More updates as things progress.

What would be the advantage and purpose for doing this? one for the front calipers and one for the back? with the limited things I know, it sounds like putting two engines in one car. Good luck,

Couple of reason for the madness.

When installing monster brakes, the stock 17, 19 even 23mm MC cannot push enough fluid. Another, reason is to match the MC size to the piston size of the pistons of the rear and front calipers. Another advantage is that if one MC fails, the other will stop the car. Most dual MC systems are obviously used for the track.
