Clutch Cable Problem-Firewall

I know much has been written about this problem in the past but my new clutch cable just gave way at the flange through the firewall. Appears the weld broke. Would appreciate any advice and tips for repairing.
Thanks!

Your cable gave way, or the clutch tube? Your note makes it sound both ways...

If the tube broke loose, about the only fix is to pull the cable out and put some tack welds after you clean the area well. Might want to look inside the tunnel as well as I'll bet it has pulled loose there too? BE VERY CAREFUL WELDING AS THE FUEL LINES ARE IN THERE!!! Good luck.
