Tranny Numbers
I have two tranys , one has "HA17 11 5"from a 75'. The other one has "HA01 10 3" stamped on in the center of the bottom of tranz.
Any idea if they do with ratio's. any info would be thankful. thank u\ mike |

Can't be of more help than to say the only accurate way to know what ratios are in the car is to measure them. Not as hard as one might think (altough I can't explain it off the top of my head) I read somewhere you simply mark off the tire and then count how many times the tire goes around vs. the flywheel. Then divide by the ring/pinion, or something like that. Maybe someone else can give a better discription.

The ratios are the same for all of the four-cylinder 914s. (At least, they were when they left the factory...) The sixes had different gears, but I don't know which ones they had.
