Porsche Parts/Manuals orders
What I'm talking about is an order placed well in advance, credit card then charged last Wednesday.
I was told yesterday it shipped out last week (Thursday or Friday). WhenI questioned the practice, I was asked, by a manager, kinda snottily, if I wanted to cancel my order as lots of other people wanted the item. I get an automated e-mail today that it was scanned for shipment, yesterday, a long time after I talked to a manager. Is this acceptable?

Perfectly acceptable. Advanced credit card ticking happens all the time, especially with automated systems; it ensures the charge clears before the product ships, in the event of deadbeat or inactive accounts.
So, there doesn't seem to be an issue here. I think PP goes WAY over the top when it comes to Customer Service; try getting THAT from your friendly, neighborhood AA. ![]()
