Steve Malm's 914-8 had some CV joint troubles following a burnout into the parking lot...

I have the info for the longer alloy lug bolts at home, I'll dig it up tonight.
BTW, Steve's 914 pretty much spanked my 911 at last month's AX, my best was a 74.04 something and he pulled out an amazing 72.78 and change. Out of 42 cars he finished 8th fastest, I was 16th.
Of course my car is completely stock, rumor has it that he's made a few "modifications" to his car :-)

OK, it's virtual world parts inc, (714) 633-9380 or www.parts4vws.com

last time I checked they had in stock 14 x 1.5 x 35 and 14 x 1.5 x 43, they might have more sizes, and they could prolly order any size you want.

Sammy:

I swear, we need to wear tags or something so we can put our real faces with our online names.

Cool, I'll check the site out. Thanks bro!

Cool James.

Funny story... Remember how I was complaining about how my car always breaks down when I am *almost* home, or just pulling into a parking spot, etc.?

Well I made it within 50 feet of my garage door on the way home Sunday. An electrical short blew a fuse and caused the engine to die just as I was coming around the last turn before my apartment. Turns out it was a loose spade connector and some hacked fuel injection wiring. I laughed. 20 mins later I was back in my garage and the next night I fixed a PO's wiring mistakes.

Tomorrow morning I am bringing the wheels in for some new tires.

Sometimes not living in California sucks. How cool would it be to go to a 914 swap meet!

Hershey on the 26th an dthe ECR is as close as we (East Cost) get.

I too wish there were more events to drive to.

ECR is in the Noth East...Maybe we need MEECR (Mid-Engine/East Coast Rally) in Virginia or North Carolina

The photo's are GREAT to look at. It's nice to see 914's looking so good. It keeps me wrenching away..

Cheers

I was planning to wear my PCA badge/name tag at D&G but I wore it the morning before at the PCA breakfast meeting and left it home. Next time for sure.

I hate going to Dunkels' or D&Gs, or Pelican's swap meet, or Pomona, or the German Autofest, or any of the other 20 or 30 events we have around here every year and not being able to put a name with a face. We should make it manditory to wear name tags with screen names. :-)
(Sorry to rub it in).
