wiring on headlight motor

I was wondering if anyone knows if there are diodes on the headlight motor wires where they attach on to the three terminal strip on the gear box of the motor?

Now the dumb question if they are to be there are they necessary and what will happen if they are removed due being broken off?

Yes, there are two diodes in that wiring. They are on pin 30b and pin K.
Without the diodes, the headlight motors will cycle until the battery goes dead.
