Question how to buy

I was wondering what one needs to look out for when buying a 914. I've been around the VW scene for a while, and know what to stay away from with them. Answers to questions like what typicaly rusts/corrodes, what displacement, what options to look for, etc... would be great.
thanks

Stay away from the silver 73-74 2.0 cars, especially nice ones.

Notify me of any you run across, seemingly inexpensive ones are the culprits.

We must rid the world of these.
