Is there a video of how to change a throttle cable 914 1.8?

Not that I know of.

It's not that difficult in general, but you do have to have access to the front of the center tunnel. You have to remove the cable from the throttle bellcrank--pop the socket off the bellcrank and then thread it off the cable end. Remove the other end from the barrel nut at the throttle valve, then feed the cable through the engine tin to the bottom of the motor. Pull the cable out of the car to the bottom side of the motor. The new one should be able to be threaded back where the old one was, then you reconnect the stuff you disconnected.

Rust or damage can make it difficult for the ferule, the threaded part at the end of the cable, to go through the tube in the center tunnel. People have had some luck using steel wool on a stick, or a long drill bit, to clean that up. Others have needed to trim the ferule or knock the corners off it with a grinder. Be very careful if you do that.

As a previous owner of a pair of 914s I learned to always have a spare throttle cable and a spare clutch cable and the needed tools to let you install a new cable when one breaks. A handy item to have are several small sized pillows to put on the floor to cushion your body from laying on the center tunnel which can make your back/sides sore very quickly.

An even better idea is to install replacement cables every winter as a maintenance item so you will not have to do it during an auto-x or group ride or on a fun run.

Also, you want to be careful of the wires in the tunnel when changing them. I keep a spare of eachin the spare tire well. Got in the habit from having a bug.
