Cars are for driving
|
I bought a 914!
Hello folks! Checking in on this corner of the forum as I have pulled the trigger on a beautifully original 1974 1.8L!
https://www.motorcarstudio.com/vehicles/1101/1974-porsche-914 The 914 was the car I learned to drive in and my introduction to Porsche as a brand. Naturally it has been a car that I always wanted to own. One silver lining of the Porsche market blowing up is that some real quality cars are finding their way into the market. Even still, I was able to acquire this car for less than its original price when adjusted for inflation. I’m driving down to Atlanta to take delivery this weekend, and then I’ll be back with many questions on how to make the most of these cars while preserving their originality. -Van |

Congratulations, welcome back to the mid engine madness! This forum is a bit quiet, if you haven’t already I’d also check out 914world.com, lots of good people and great expertise on these cars!

Note that 914world is a bit like trying to drink from a fire-hose! Lots of activity, and it can be a bit overwhelming. But tons of knowledge over there!!
