M-471 costs?
Hi All -
Anyone know what the factory charged for the M-471 (street GT) package? -Scott S

If you can get hold of John Straub in the San Diego Reigon of PCA he might know as his 914 GT was build from one of those complete kits. Good luck

in 1970, a 914/6 cost 19980 DM (US$4775). a "basic customer GT" was 24480, the true racer was 44,480 and the rally version 38480. The M471 package (1971) was the factory GT kit, supposedly there were 32 factory built GTs and 400 kits available. Of course none of that answers your question.
The annoying thing is that I know I have seen prices for the M471 kit itself in a book somewhere, but god knows where. I'm looking though... |

Gary Emory of Parts Obsolete had a bunch of those leftover kits from Porsche when they deleted dealer inventory in the 70's. I guess it took him awhile to sell all the kits to racers but none left now.
