Cup Car Inquiry

I am tempted by this cup car listed on E-bay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6058&item=2415682144

What does the collective think about something like this. Pros? Cons? Any additional facts/history to shed more light on what is being offered here?

Regards

Well, the 3.6 swap is non-trivial, and that G-50 transmission is not at all fun to convert for mid-engine use. Plus the suspension is the coil-spring version that won't bolt up to the 914.

So I'd say that, as a parts donor, it ain't that great.

I suppose you might consider racing it as-is, but then you'd be driving a tail-dragger....

(You might try the 911 board; they may have more to say on the subject.)

I think it's pretty sweet, I wouldn't pull the engie to use for a '14... leave it as a sweet 911.

I must have missed something edited out. Who would dismantle that car for parts? Not me.

Jeez, that was post #1800. I've got to get a better life.

That was just me being a smart-ass, Milt. He asks about buying a 911 on the 914 board, so I chimed in from the "914 only" view...
