sump and oil temp
I can't locate the torque spec for the two bolts holding the sump plate on. Anyone?
Also, are there any tricks to sealing it to eliminate leaks? I had good luck with just the o-ring last oil change but this one is leaking a little where the bolts go. |

Try about 10 lb-ft. There is a resource somewhere for torque specs of particular size fasteners going into particular materials; I think the spec for M6 bolts into aluminum is about 10 lb-ft.
New crush washers around the bolts will help with the leaks. --DD

O ring & crush washers
Ratwell: I got both o ring & crush washers from our host. Put it in tightened to 8 or 9 ft. lbs. Dry as a bone! Dave
