914-6 No Power to license plate light circuit

In diagnosing my 914-6 that has no power to license plate light circuit.

I discovered that the #7 fuse block has no power. Isn't the headlight switch the source of that power?

It's the ground connection.

Original Six, or conversion? What year?

In the later four-cylinder cars, the headlight switch is the source of power for the license plate light circuit. I assume it's the same on earlier cars and Sixes, but I haven't really looked into it.

Do you have wiring diagrams for your car? Those would answer the question more authoritatively.

It is an original 914-6. I do have a wiring diagram and see that the gray wire from #7 fuse goes up into the headlight switch.

I will double-check grounds.
