Lug / Wheel Question
My 914 has the stock steel wheels. I picked up a set of the Rivera (sp?) wheels, and was curious to see if I have to change my lug bolts? Someone was telling me I might.
Thanks, ~Eric

Yes, the steel-wheel bolts are significantly shorter than the alloy-wheel bolts. They will not thread into the hubs far enough to be safe. We sell the factory ($$$!!!) bolts, and there are Audi bolts that are correct and are quite a bit less $$. Make sure you get the ones with the correct seat style on the back of the bolt-heads! Stock 914 wheels (and I assume the Rivs as well) use "acorn" or spherical seats, many US wheels use conical seats.

Do you have any more information on the Audi bolts I would need to pickup for the Riv. wheels? Thanks, ~Eric

Nope, I'd've posted it if I did.

If/when you put the Riv's on the car, would you be willing to sell the steel wheels? Are your steel wheels in good shape? How much would you want?
