911 dash in 914

Has anyone ever installed a 911 dash and gauges in their 914? Not certain, but I'm sure I saw mention of this being done before.

Those you may have seen were the "Getty" sourced dashes (with 911 gauges (gages for engineers)). You might look around to see if anyone still manufactures these (don't think so, haven't seen any in a very long time). By the way, I don't think you can install the 911 dash in the 914 without modifications. Good luck.

I belive GT Racing or one of those fiberglass
companies is selling a 5-gauge dash for about 200-250, gauges not included.

Automobile Atlanta sells a 911 dash conversion for the 914; you provide all the 911 gauges. That alone can be a bit prohibitive.

The cost (in my opinion) to convert just doesn't seem worth the time and trouble, considering that the 914 gauge compliment (including the console gauges) provide all the info you need for a daily driver. I've added an oil pressure gauge, and since haven't had the need for fighter-cockpit-type information glowing in various locations throughout (the 914 innards ARE somewhat limited).

Moneys better spent on other upgrades i.e. engine, brakes, suspension, etc.
