No battery power
I'm new to the 914, loving it! I have a strange problem I'm hoping someone else has seen because I can't figure it out. Randomly it will lose electric power like the battery is completely dead (it isn't). Jump the car and it is fine for several days. Seems like the alternator is charging fine because after the jump all is well, starts over and over again

Start checking the connections at the battery. Then, as the Doc suggests, check the red wires that are connected to the (+) cable. The connections may be loose or dirty. Also check the chassis end of the ground cable; it attaches to the side wall of the engine bay. Loose or dirty connections are potential problems.

What year and model is the car? There are a few versions of the wiring harness and the battery cables in particular. I have seen the spade connections in the fuse panel loose and fractured such that they are a real hazard.
There could even be an internal fault in the battery that is intermittent.

Now is a good time to check all your grounds as well as what everyone has mentioned.

Sorry, my images did not go through. Go to Bowlsby.net and look at the description of all grounds.
