master cylinder lines
So my brake system replacement was going well until....
I have a new master cylinder to install. The bolts holding it on are broken free, but the brake lines coming into it are rusted on solid. I've been spraying blaster and tapping it every day for a week and even yet my flare nut wrench is starting to round the corners on the fittings. Any ideas how to get these lines freed up? --Case... |

I had the same problem... I actually tightened a little with tons of PB blaster... then it losened... one of my lines I still had to replace b/c loosening it twisted the brake line... as it turned out... it was easier to get a new brake line and install it than fight with the old one... for me the "fun" part was trying to get the damn lines into the new master cylinder AND the master cylinder mounted at the same time... it's an awkward position and hard to get leverage... have fun
