OMG - I've been shocked and awed.

I truely believe this guys believes what he is saying and that it is actually worth something. I love the mispellings and all caps, the complete wreck of a car, a $3999.00 starting price _WITH_ a reserve.

At least the $300 914 guy is honest/smart enough to know he has a POS and is selling it for $300.

Gotta love his ID - munkybutt92

I'm with Kenny. Let's purchase a live Bobcat and trade him for it.

I don't know - I'm just not into salid cars!

Gotta love it though! In America they'll sell anything! (read: some fool will buy it)

Talking Gotta be a joke...

Ah common, I'm sure its somebody who said the very same thing- like, "Watch, somebody will by it!" It is clearly well constructed ruse, just a bit contrived. If he can't spell "solid", then he can't spell "injected" either. It certainly takes little effort to put up something on ee-baay. Nothing to lose by trying...

It has to be a joke. However, the subtlety of the part about it being stored NEAR his GERAGE in a REAL SAFE PLACE is pretty compelling.

Karl, did he respond?

Yes....

1st response...

"3,999.""

My response...

"I wish you all the luck in the world"

His final response...

"Get a life"

I guess the winters in Minnesota with no sunlight did a number on him!

Look, he's just a collector... you know how those collectors are.

Someone should call him and off a near identical car for a few hundred.

IT HAS A FAST 1800cc. Car is much lighter and faster since 1/2 of the metal has rusted away.

Someone should tell him that the 1975 1.8 litre cars are the slowest 914's (stock anyway) and that the BOSCH FI isn't really much better than a good carb set-up. I mean, it's 1st generation EFI and any one of what seems like a thousand potential vacuum leaks can screw it up (at least, the D-Jet). Right now I'm trying to figure out why my D-Jet is acting like a carb on startup. I'm pretty sure that the cold-start injector is flaky since it feels just like starting a carbbed car without using the choke. Oh well, it still runs great, just needs a couple minutes to warm up.
