testing resistance

This may be a stupid question but to test many of the switches for the FI I have to test their resistance. Can anyone tell me a simple way to do this?
Thanks
Nate

You can buy a meter at a radio shack or other electronics supply place. with it, you can measure resistance, and other things like AC or DC voltage. Very handy to have, more like a necessity when working on old cars.

Yeah. Multi-meters have gotten really inexpensive. Sears also has some good ones, as well as you local auto parts store.

$5 at Harbor Freight Tools, on sale. I have a few of them around. They work great.

A tip: when checking resistance of switches, they should be unplugged from the rest of the car, or at the very least make certain there is no voltage applied to them at the time.
