testinng resistance on temp sensor II

Can anyone give me a simple way to test temp sensor II without ripping the stinker out. The part of the process I'm stuck on is that it is a single wire. Unlike temp sensor I where ther are two points at which to put your probe on II there is not. What to do, anyone, anyone?
Thanks Nate

Is it possibly grounded through the threads?

CHT? Positive on the spade, neg on the neg battery terminal.

You measure between terminals 11 and 23 of the (disconnected) wiring harness plug to the ECU http://persweb.direct.ca/aschwenk/djettest.pdf .

Checking through the harness at the ECU connector, is a great idea because it tests the entire circuit to emulate what the ECU sees. Understand the results though. If there are problems, you may have a harness related issue and TS2 may actaully be good or vice-versa.

It's a pain to pull the ECU out and then slide off the end-cover to unplug the sucker.

Unplug the sensor, put one lead on the connector and the other lead on the cylinder head. It grounds to the head through its threads.
