Help Identifying 914/6 Wire in Engine Bay

Anyone know what this is? brown wire and black with red spiral come out the back.

Disclaimer: I am not very familiar at all with the Six-specific stuff.

Where in the engine bay is the plug? It looks kind of like the plug for the fuel pump. In a four-cylinder car, those are the wire colors used for the fuel pump as well.

I think there's a very good chance that it's the fuel pump plug.

Oh, I found some 914-6 info! The Art Zapf color diagram for the Six shows black/red and brown are the fuel pump wire colors as well. So I think we have a pretty strong conclusion that it's the fuel pump plug.

Thanks Dave, that is helpful. The plug is near where the oil pressure sender by the fan on the motor in the engine bay. Which is why I thought it wouldn't be fuel pump but open to discussion.

Your'e right Dave, the fuel pump is originally right there so that makes sense! thanks for the help.

As a side topic, when my fuel pump was not running working on my 914-6 I ran a new ground wire to the pump and it worked just fine.
