Question Heater/Defroster Control

OK, going to do my best to describe my question, but be patient with me as I have been working nights and can't escape from this state of confusion!

Does anyone remember when hooking up the Fan/Heater/Defroster Control (control on dash operates fan speed, heater, defroster etc.) where the three control cables connect to exactly? Haynes doesn't seem to describe this in the manual. It shows a picture of the cables that run from heater/defroster box to heater/defroster box but not the cables that actually come from the dash control.

It is probably a very easy and selfexplanatory situation but again, the night shift has taken what little common sense I have. Any tips on reinstalling the heater/defroster system are welcome!

Thanks,

Steve

Hoping I understand your question and knowing I installed mine incorrectly (and haven't fixed it yey)...

The top control is for the fan, it has the controls for the fan closing baffles too.

The middle one is for the fresh air directional baffles.

The red one, I believe closes off the fresh air and dedicates the system to the heat. Really you can just hook em up, see what happens and try to get it right again.

Good luck.
