914-6 permatune question

my buddy has a 71 sixer and needs to know where to attach tach wire on permatune ignition module. Also does anyone know of a place where he can get it rebuilt?

I think the black/purple wire (tach) should go to the "1" terminal on the dizzy or "C" wire on the Permatune.

...at least that's where I put it on my car...

Rebuild the Permatune or the car? I don't know if anyone rebuilds Permatunes...buy a new one?

If it's a 2.0l six, it should be getting it's signal from the dizzy via the points. So 2 wire connect to the dizzy, the one going to the CDI and the black/purple for the dizzy.

As for the Permatune, i'd put it in my hand, lift it vertically, turn 180 degs, make 3 steps forward and drop it in the trash can.
