Thanks everyone for the help and advice. New tires have made a huge difference in ride comfort and I will decide soon if I go any further. Next projects are common stuff like oil and filter change, brake bleeding, clean up of fuse block area and eventually getting the odometer to work. Have read the odometer fix article already.

Stainless steel fuel lines in the tunnel and engine compartment are a really good idea. Tangerine Racing has been the go-to for years for them.
