'70 914/6
Just met with a client who races a 944 Turbo S. Very nice guy. And he knows I'm addicted to Porsches, so what does he go and say? "Ya know I have a '70 914/6 that use to be my track car for years and I'm thinking of selling it." Engine is a 2.5 based on a 2.0. Webers, headers, cage/gutted interior, flared rear fenders, Never wrecked, says it has oil leaks and the engine is getting tired... Now why did he have to tell me that?!!! Now I have to find out how much it's worth and dream of buying it. 10-13k? Is this in the right ballpark?

I dont know if it is worth 10-13k. It is tired and gutted and I am sure it needs a lot of work. I would guess more along the lines of around 7-8k for it. Just my opinion. I have seen them go for less.

I agree with Scott. $10 tops if it is race ready. If you plan to make a street car out of it I wouldn't pay more than $7-8. Add a little if it has 4 flares and they are metal.

You might be able to add something if it has a documented race history. If it is just something someone raced in PCA, no add.
If it doesn't have the interior parts, I guess I'd be inclined to the $7-8K. James
