Decel Valve Adjustment

May already discussed somewhere in this BBS but I could not find it.
Does anyone know how you adjust decel valve?
Thanks.

I'm not aware that it is adjustable - it's just a vac valve that opens on deaccel to supply extra air for smog.

The decel valve is adjustable. You loosen the locknut and turn the nipple adjuster to change the onset of operation. Problem is, what is the correct onset? I've never been able to get anyone on the list who has an NOS valve to measure it for us. I'd love to know.

I measured mine just a couple of weeks ago. It opened rather quickly once it got to 18" on my vacuum guage.

(Well, on second thought...I should verify my notes on the 18"...)
