Flywheel!!! Help!!!, new one didn't come with locator studs
So, we have this nice, new, shiny flywheel and it doesn't have locator studs. Do I have to remove from old flywheel? If so, how?

Yes, you have to remove the old ones. I pulled mine out with pliers after heating the flywheeel a little on the back side. It's not pretty but it worked.

The flywheel will not be keyed to the crank, so you could put it on one of five ways. The TDC markings will only be correct one of those five ways. Also, if you have the engine balanced, the balance will only be correct one of those five ways.
The pin may also carry at least some of the rotational loading. It's awfully small for that, though. But as a general rule, it is better to have shear loads born by dowels or pins than by bolts, particularly mounting bolts. --DD
