Error in Kjnells D-jet article
This is an excellent article, I have used it many times for FI problems. I did find an error though. I almost paid $250 for a new pressure sensor(mps) that was working fine. the Djet article says the resistance between pin 7 and 15(the outer pins) should be about 90ohms, this is right. Then it says the resistance bewteen pins 8 and 15 should be about 350ohms or so, This is where the error is. It shouldn't be 350 bewteen 15 and 8 it should be 350 between 10 and 8(the two middle pins). I searched through this board and found several instances of this exact problem, and people saying they were going to buy a new mps cause the resistance between 15 and 8 was not connected, or not correct. Just to clear it up.
What ever the case, it is still the best resource for 914 FI problems. Danny Beardsley |

I made the exact same mistake....followed the article to a 'T' and misdiagnosed the pressure sensor as the cause since the specs. didn't match up...bought a new one...and found that it was no different. This really ought to be corrected, since the part isn't exactly cheap! Thanks...
