start making chips buddy
![]() AFAIK, they only make the 4x130 spacers in ~6mm size.... If you do make them, make sure they are hubcentric in design. Want to make a set in 4x100 with a 73mm bore?

I'd make them out of regular steel instead, less chance of galling, SS can be soft....I'd also use a "roll" tap instead of the normal "cutting" tap (a roll tap is the closest to forging threads and stronger than a cut tap which just removes material)
of course I know you knew this ![]()

Uhh, why go hub-centric? Your current setup isn't. (I had missed that earlier or I would'a spoken up earlier.) It will mean changing the struts and possibly the brake calipers as well if you go to the hub-centric front rotors...

Those spacers that bolt to the hub, and in turn, the wheel bolts to the spacers are "verbotten" in Zone 8 AX/DE/TT (uppermost of the photos in your 2nd post.) I've never seen them in a 4 bolt 130 pattern, but so you know, we denied a 944 from running at the Q 2 weeks ago.
XIII, section E states; "Wheel nut or bolt must fully engage the threads on the stud or hub for a length at least equal to the outside diameter or of the stud or bolt." Which means the bolt must go into the hub at least 14mm (Tech chair prefers to see 18mm, really.) XIII, section G states: " Any adapter to modify the Porsche bolt pattern will not be allowed." (Even if it modifies it to a Porsche bolt pattern.) The spacers that sandwich between the wheel and the rotor are fine, as long as the bolt/stud is long enough the satisfy section E (BTW, I have 1/4" spacer on my fronts. I found some 1/2" spacers at Manny, Moe and Jack's. The bolt pattern isn't absolutely perfect, but a litle Dremel work and they will do just fine.) The later cars had the hubcentric rotors but, like Dave said, you've got to change the brakes and the struts. Sure, it can be done. It's only money, time and energy for a very small improvement in the car. For nearly the same investment, you can swap to a 911 front end and get much better brakes. The early cars can also have the rear rotors drilled for 5 lug and then your hold world of wheel options becomes so much wider.

Zone 7 has similar wording in their rules, but I had thought that "modifying the bolt pattern" specifically meant four-to-five spacers, and did not apply to 5x130-to-5x130 spacers. --DD

You can get 3/8 inch spacers from CB Performance. I use several under each wheel to widen things out. They fit real snug over the studs I use and so far have seen no sign of any vibration from them.
