Cool New rims and tires, Oh boy!

I just put on my new rims and tires and what a treat. After rolling on 165's with my U G L Y Ghia steel rims I can't believe the difference. They are the American Raceing aftermarket 2.0 type with 195 60 15 Goodyear Eagle RS. I have read posts about the aftermarket ones not being up to par with the forged originals but with the type of driveing I do they fit my needs. They fit with no problem under the wells, about 3/4 inch from the inside rear lip but does rub on the front passenger inside (that after makeing it happen by turning the wheel as far as I could). It handles like a champ but does need a front end alignment. Now I need a front sway bar to close the deal... donations accepted

I was wondering if you had any pictures of your new wheels and tires on the car? Also, do you have a link to the wheels on the Amercian Racing site by any chance? I searched by application on their site but found nothing. I was considering the Empi style (Eagle Wheels) but haven't made up my mind as of yet...

Performance Products has them listed for $100 - $132. Do a search on their site for "914 wheels". I've seen them listed for less elsewhere, though.

I must say that I'm not real wild about the replicas. The design was intended to be forged, not cast, and forged aluminum is stronger than cast. If they have kept the original design completely, the wheels are potentially much weaker than the stock ones.

Most cast wheels are designed from the outset to be cast. No problems with them.
