Porsche 914 Owners Association

Does anyone know these people? I sent a check for some T-shirts a couple of months ago and haven't heard a thing from them. They also have not answered my email. Have I been taken? Their address is Palm Springs, CA.

Any help?
Thanks,
neilca

They've been around a long time. I used to belong- got magazine called "mid-engine views" I think it was. Don't give up.

I checked and they have not cashed the check yet. I sent it back in June and have not heard a word from them. I have sent two emails to their "member" email with no reply. The only name I see associated with this site is Dennis Deeds. Anyone know him?
Thanks,
neil

The club is administered by Dennis. He does everything. So, if he is business or on vacation, it will take him a while to get back to you. He is a very nice, reputable person and 914 enthusiast.

Rod,
The address I have is
100 South Sunrise Way, PMB 116
Palm Springs, CA 92262

Thanks for checking up on this. Based on Sergio's response I wonder if Dennis is some way indisposed (hopefully nothing serious).

I wouldn't waste any time stopping by there. It is a maildrop. You can rent a PO box, call it a suite and you've got a business address.

I really don't think that the club or the site has been maintained in quite a while.

What is the Porsche 914 Owners Association? What do you get for your membership?

It's an official 914 club, run by Dennis Deeds. What you get for your membership is, apparently, nothing... There was a quarterly newsletter, but I think it's been about two years since it was published.

The "Renegade" 914 Club (the one whose website is on dgi.net) got started specifically as a break-away from the 914 OA, as some folks didn't like the "for profit" nature of the club. (Yeah, like there's a huge profit in running a car club!)

The only real activity any more is on their Yahoo Group-- http://groups.yahoo.com/group/914 . Dennis just posted over the weekend, so he is around and doing something. Just not much, apparently.
