914 fuel lines
I have a 75 2.0 that is set up with dual 40 IDF carbs. I had to replace the fuel tank because fuel was left in it. Since only one fuel line is necessary for the carbs what is the best way to plug the other line. Should it be done in the engine bay or should it be capped off at the front of the car at the exit of the tank before the line is runs through the tunnel?

If you cap it at the front of the car, there are fewer chances for leaks.

Where can I get a cap for this applicationa? Do you mean cap right onto the threaded fitting at the bottom of the tank? Thanks

Actually, I was figuring a short piece of fuel hose with a 7mm bolt in it. Clamped securely with FI fuel hose clamps. A bit cheesy, but... I don't know offhand where you could get a cap to fit the fitting on the bottom of the tank. Perhaps a nut and bolt combination could replace the fitting?

I would try removing the tube and replaceing it with a flat round metal piece inside the fuel cap outlet with some sealant. Its a pressure fit anyway so this has the same chance to leak as the stock fitting.
