Some Dizzy Q's
I have been having some wird FI problems with my '74 2.0L. I am now starting to think it may be the dizzy.
- How much can the rotor turn (back and forth) by hand when the dizzy is installed? - How much up and down should there be? Any thing else to check? Cheers Kerry

Hi,
- How much can the rotor turn (back and forth) by hand when the dizzy is installed? I would guess 10* to 15* - or what the weights in the advance mechanism allow. - How much up and down should there be? Less than a millimeter. There are plastic washers on in the drive area that tend to brake and fall out - that results in extra play. It is not easy to replace those washers. Patrick

I thought I was having FI problems and checked the dizzy for sloppyness. I don't know if it would have been considered sloppy but, in case it was, I converted it to Pertronics electronic ignition and the problems (bucking & missing around 3k) went away. So far so good for the last 6 months
(now I prolly jinxed myself )bruce
