6 cyl. oil tank opinions
I am installing a 911E mfi motor in my 71. I am in the process of
collecting the needed parts.Where can I get the oil tank from? Does anyone make a repro or do I have to find a used one. Any help would be appreciated. |

I would stay away from the 3rd-party repros. There have been numerous complaints about them (do a search on Velios). Most people stick with the OEM Porsche oil tank.
Contrary to popular belief, the Porsche part is still available. Pelican lists them new for $806. http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/autocat/load_page.cgi?page_number=3&bookmark=21&model=9144&currsection=oilsys |

Get a factory tank. The oil system is not something you want to cheapskate on a 911 engine setup. I scored a NOS one last year for $400. Deals are out there if you hunt around.
