Bone Yard find...several pics included

Hello everyone....well I guess I am truly addicted to 914's now. Look what I found. My wife is going to kill me.......it's a 72 (4722900670) with a 2.0 (GA005425), side shift tranny and it also has headers..Got it for an awesome deal. I need the fog lights, engine, tranny and the bumpers are in good shape (chrome too).
The passenger side has collision damage though, but uts not too bad.

The "header" in that one pic looks a lot like a stock heat exchanger with the ducting cut off the outside... Could be wrong, though, as the angle makes it a bit tough to say.

Regardless, it's a good find!!

Dave how can I tell if it's a cut up heat exchanger? I am almost done rebuilding my 2.0 and was looking for headers. I thought I would just use these. But if they are just cut up exchangers, I definately dont want them on my car...I have one more pic of the exhaust:

Thanks,
Rod

My guess was based on the fact that they have the right shape to be factory heat exchangers.

If they go all the way to the back of the transmission as four separate pipes, they aren't any of the "real" headers that I know of. All of those join together somewhere roughly in the length of the transmission.

I won't even talk about the 75-76 exhaust, which is really ugly restrictive...

Acox, do you need a 120? I think I still have one. I believe it was working when I changed out to a 150.

I also found this there as well. I was thinking of picking it up, but had to make a decision. Wasn't a hard decision.....
