no-start relay under seat

...aka seat belt interlock. my 1974 has starting issues. please direct me to a wiring diagram of the stinking seat belt relay under the passenger seat thingy.

Yup. Bypass the relay by splicing the two thick yellow wires that run to it to each other. Then you can throw it away. Which is a Good Thing, IMHO.

Uhhh, actually I haven't done that yet on my car! :blush:

I thought that the relay under the seat was merely a starter interupt. This thread implies that it affects eng running. My book does not show this circuit in the wiring diagram. Anyone have a good link?.

It's component J34. It shouldn't, in theory, have any effect on the running of the car--just the starting. But bad connections at the relay plug can have a number of odd effects...
