There seems to be a problem with the server uploading. check out this thread. Is this what your looking for. if it is, search ebay for fuel door and browse for the one you like.

That's the one...thanks so much...will head for ebay and see what I can find...BTW...if possible I would really like to see how you fed the fuel tank via this fuel door...can you post a pic to show off this little trick?

Here are a few closeup pics of the door.
I can tell you that I prefer it over the pop the hood method. Hole placement is critical so there is enough room to get your hand in there and twist it off. I plan on welding a tab on top like the gt's to make it a little easier.

hmm... I guess I assumed that, just that "todlich" is spelled wrong, "strabe" is not a German word and even if it would be, translating it bit by bit might not result in something that makes sense.

Thanks guys....I did find that there are two different ones offered...1 is chromed and the other is polished...I'm heading for the polished one. I believe the difference is reflected in the pricing....

I have recieved numerous requests to show how I am installing the fuel door.
Since I am still working on it, it is only roughed in, I will post what I have.
If you mount the door on the hood all you need to do is drill the holes, but I would back it up with some sheet metal inside to give it support as not to bend or tweek the hood if the door was ever banged while open, If you like to recess the door so it is flush with the hood, either weld in an inner lip, or do as I am planning on doing adhere it with panel adhesive. The rubber boot I use to prevent gas and water leaking all over is a rubber non flashing roof mount plumbing vent pipe seal, available at any builder supply stores. The one I purchased was a little big so I will replace and trim with another one, they run about 5 bucks.
If anyone has any other ideas please let us know, I love not having to pop the hood for gas anymore and thinks it fits with what I am trying to achieve for the look of the car.
