Main bearing bolt torque

Can anyone tell me what the torque specs are for the 6 long main bearing case nuts. The Haynes manual says 14.5 and the Wilson book says 25 ft/lbs.

Thanks
Rod

I think the confusion comes from there being two sizes of fastener. The factory manual calls for the M8 ones (usually take a 13mm wrench) to be torqued to 14.5 lb-ft. It calls for the M10 ones (15mm wrench, maybe??) to be torqued to 23.9 lb-ft. There is an additional note that says "sealing ring outwards".

I don't remember which are M8 and which are M10. Check the diameter of the bolt shank; M8 ones will have an 8mm shank and M10 will have a 10mm shank.
