FI wiring harness questions
PART 2
Seeing as I live in fear of my current FI harness can y'all give me some input here? Can you adapt a VW bus FI harness to the 2L 914? Are the 75-76 2L's harness's useable on a '73 2L? Are 1.7 wireing harness's useable on '73 2L's? Thanks y'all, I can't fork up the $350 for a new harness and while I may build one I'd like the alternative of getting a good used harness. I just need to know what will be acceccctible. Ian |

The 1.7L harness is about the same except that the TPS is in a different local. You could probably cut the outer heat shrink tubing and the wires might reach. Give me a few days I can try it first.
The bus is L-jet. Some of the wires could be used, but even if the main connector fit I wouldn't trust that the pins are in the correct location. Also being an L-Jet there are plugs missing (tps, mps, etc.) and extra plugs (air flow sensor, dual relay). |
