The hardest hardest part to find for a restoration is by far the patience of sanding the durn thing, Believe me!!! i know. lol. I know this is kinda a dumb question but why are the fuse covers so important, did they like hold them in or something?

Try to find a Porsche Targa top rear seal!

Bleyseng.....There was somebody on this board who was making like repro's, the picture that was posted you could'nt tell the difference! it was amazing...... and they were reasonable..do a search

Boogerboy 72.......there for protection! from foreign materials and objects(possibly your knee) ect.

Re the fuse cover, yes. Without one, most of us have this habit of kicking the the fuse panel, immediately scattering all the fuses all over the floor, under the seat and sometimes, given sufficient rebound, on the street. It nearly always happens in the dark.

In the rain.

Oh. When you go to replace the various seals on your car (esp. the targa side seals), make sure you pay precise attention to the PP directions. Hee hee!

There are a couple of people selling repro's on Ebay and other places. I have bought 2 of them from different vendors. 9xauto sells one for $85.00 and I think he is high. The 2 I bought were both about $45.00 and one is made of foam which works but is not really what I wanted. The other one also from Ebay is really nice and I would for sure buy another one of those. It is made of rubber and much stronger than the foam one. Oh, I am talking about the targa rear seal.

How about the auxiliary air regulator for the 2.0?

Bleyseng 11-28-2003 02:02 PM

I have an extra one of those if you need one.

Best Deal used to be in Stanton, Ca. but they closed up shop and went out of business a year or so ago. I've talked to the guy twice since then, he still does a little business out of his house in southern Orange county.

I sell a repro rear targa top seal, I've sold close to 180 of them.

Probably not needed for the 914-6 that the original poster was talking about...
