I paid $350 for a complete FI system from a late '75 from Fred Vollmerhausen (sorry if I mis-spelt that) a little over a year ago.

I have seen them go anywhere from 50.00 to 250.00 depends on who has it and how bad they want to get rid of it. There was a guy not too long ago that sold the whole engine with the FI on it for $300.00 here locally. He just wanted it out of his garage.

Depends on its condition. Nearly new parts throughout, complete with runners, plennum, all mounting hardware, good wiring harness, excellent condition MPS (OEM, unmolested), etc.? Man, I'd pay 1K if it was really good. But, the average system I've seen for sale on Ebay is in fair to poor condition, where the MPS is likely junk, and the system looks like it was excavated during a dino dig - these are worth $100 or less.

converting to carbs (hey, aren't you trying to sell that car....) or selling the FI you got from W.Jay? or are you buying a d-jet system for your SC project?
