Looking for rubber advice.....

I am quite close to receiving my 914 from the body shop and continuing on my restorative journey. Looking at the big pile of crap seals on the floor, it's not too hard to realize that they all need to be replaced. Does anyone have a suggestion in regards to how to most cost-effectively replace almost every seal on the car? I am lucky that most of the Targa seals as still intact, however I'll need to replace inner/outer door seals, hood and trunk seals, engine bay seals, etc. at the very least.

Also, even though I realize this product comes from AA, it seems to be the most cost effective rubber kit offered on the web. Any other suggestins are GREATLY appreciated as always.

Oh, by the way, my brother has built a website for me. It details the process to date. Please take a peek!

Thanks!

Does Pelican offer a complete rubber kit? If not, do a search for 408-783 at Tweeks .

Last I checked, Pelican did not offer complete kits. However, if you pointed the Tweeks ad out, we may be able to match the price.

I suggest you do a search on the AA repro seal kit. Someone on this BBS (and possibly the 914club one?) bought it, and they were not very happy....

AA is never a good idea.

How bitter am I?

For example.

There is no substitute for the real deal - I've been buying seals from pelican hear and there and they have all been great. As long as they are OEM I don't think you can go wrong.

The targa seal is replacable with one from Sammy, just search for "sammy seal" or search my past posts. I just got a sammy seal for $40 and installed it last week. It's perfect and I no longer have that annoying squeak. In fact, I think I'm down to two seals that need real replacement - the two on the targa above the door.
