Event - RoadGlue Sacramento Delta Cruise

Announcing the RoadGlue Sacramento Delta Cruise

On Saturday April 29, 2000 we are holding our second event. If there is a conflicting event on this date, please let us know. There will be a drive, picture opportunities, lunch, and a chance to unload a few 914 parts too. For full details, please visit roadglue.com . While at RoadGlue, please sign the attendance form at the bottom on the Delta Cruise page. General attendance figures will be nice to have so that we can make reservations if need be. Thank you Brent Fallis for planning the majority of this event. There are still a few details that need to be worked out and we are still looking add to the event's list of activities. If you have comments, suggestions, gripes, etc, please email them to me at randy@roadglue.com

Our first meet was a wonderful success and since then, many other enthusiastic 914 owners interested in meeting other 914 nuts have contacted us. Thank you for your outpouring of support since the creation of RoadGlue.com. There are still hundreds of 914 owners and enthusiast in Northern California that either don't have Internet access or don't realize the amount of online 914 resources that the Internet offers. I have made a general RoadGlue flyer and will make an event specific flyer within the next couple of days. The RoadGlue flyer can be found on the main page of RoadGlue for download and printing (MS Word Format). I store a stack of flyers in my 914's glove box and stick 'em on 914s that I come across in parking lots and I encourage you to do the same.

Thank you,

--

Maybe Dave D would like to show up and hand out a few CD's? How 'bout it Dave? What's the status of your four-wheeled monster?

Funny you should ask that... I just drove it home from the mechanic's an hour or so ago.

Yup, I gave up and took it to a pro. He figured out the problem was the fuel pressure, which was set too low (~20 PSI).

But I *checked* the fuel pressure. That was the third thing I checked. And the 103rd. And the 273rd. And the 693rd. I have a presure gauge permanently mounted in the engine bay for just such an occasion.

The gauge is bad. It read 30 PSI when the fuel rail was actually at 20 PSI. No other problems; once the mechanic adjusted the pressure correctly, the car ran just fine.

Amazing, huh?

I'll have The Guys ship me some more goodies once we have a better idea of how many people will be showing. (And, of course, when the event is! You were also talking about moving it so that it isn't Easter weekend...)

Conrads with your car Dave!

The meet has been moved up one weekend and is scheduled for Saturday, April 29th.

It's 12:20am and I am off to bed. Night.
