Mystery wire
I'm finishing up the engine wiring on my V8. There's a wire in the same bundle as the oil pressure switch, tach, and distributor I can't identify on the '74 wiring diagram. It has a connector block on the end and where the wire has been exposed over the years it looks kind of brown, but under the plastic jacket where its been protected it looks white. I buzzed it out to see if it was a ground but it's not. My guess it went to something related to the FI circuit. I don't see that I need it, but I'd like to know what it was for before I cut it off. Anybody know? The engine originally was a 2.0. Thanks.

Its the Auxiliary Air regulator wire. Its white with a long blade male wire terminal inside that plastic housing. Good research.

Thanks Bowlsby! I shouldn't need that one anymore.

It connects into the same circuit as the stock fuel pump power wire. So if you're using that stock wire, make sure to insulate the wire so it can't short to ground!
