Door replacement
Just replaced a badly dented passenger door on my 71 with one from a 74. Aligned it via the "lift door with a jack" method i found here, thanks to whoever posted that.
One question. the indent that the door handle sits in does not align perfectly with the corresponding indent in the body. The newer doors indent looks to be much wider top to bottom (1/8" or so). Did Porsche change the tooling used to form this part???

Probably and I think doors are different within even the same years too. I think the qualty control of some of their suppliers of body parts and even in house was not as good as it is today. I had the same thing happen when I put an early door(70) on my 1973. I noticed the handle from a 1972 didn't fit as good as it should??? Good luck
