Phenolic spacers and carbs?
Is it good/bad to use the spacers when running dual carbs? I remember seeing both sides of the arguement before but couldn't find them now. I used to think it was good to thermally isolate the carbs from the heads, but the thick paper gasket between the manifolds and carbs should do a good job at this, right? Then it seems you want hot manifolds to help reduce fuel condensation. What do you think?

Depending where you live and how you drive.
I beat the crap out of my car and live in Canada. solution: something that provides vibration 'dampening' and conducts heat. Vibration dampening to keep the carbs from getting loose And heat conduction cause at 1/2 to full throttle alot of air is going through a couple of 40mm Dells and the wind chill is pretty cold. I use the metal/paper gaskets, but hey thats just me.
