Good day for a drive
Last week I fixed the rear body damage the best I could. Pushed out the sheet metal with a hydraulic jack, beat the bumper close to it's original shape with a framing hammer and bent the trunk lid so it closes. Looks good from 50 feet at night.
I was seriously considering parting the beast out after the rear end damage but then I found a complete FI setup on evil bay for reasonable $$$. Changed the MPS (old one was leaking badly), got a new CHTS, swapped the FI brain, replaced the TBS and for the first time since I own the car it was running like it should. No studder, clean acceleration to 5000 rpm (would not get to 4000 before) and no blue smoke. Yep, it's a sweet ride. So, when is the next 914 get-together in the Pudget Sound area? Neal |

It's on April 24th at Emerald Downs in Auburn WA. Times and such are in the Events Calander on the 914club.site.
We had a mechanics rush today in Gold Bar to help Joe Ricard get his car ready to travel back to Missisippi on Tuesday. check out the pics on the other site. We got it running good! Adjusted the valves, wheel bearings, brakes, installed new H4 Hella's, installed a spoiler and I worked on getting the djet to work right. Geoff Geoff
