Oil cooler spacers??
I am installing my oil cooler (new) with new seals, and I am wondering if there are any spacers I need to be aware of. On some VW's there are spacers that go in there to keep from over compressing the seals. Any input?? Thanks again guys!

There are none on the Type IV engine. There is some manual somewhere that calls for them, but it is in error.

Silver,
Just an FYI. I found it helpful to use a thin layer of gasket sealer around the lip of seal (on both sides). 1 - to help hold it in place while assembling, and 2 - to help prevent leaks. Don't want to do that job twice (ask me how I know)! Enjoy!
