Manhattan or Bust!
A bit giddy after driving from Buffalo to NYC last night & must share with others who share my disease.
So I think I'm the only Manhattan 914 owner/driver. Let the experiment ensue - The car is now comfortably sitting in a garage on 36th St between 5th & 6th ave in nyc - the only 914 in Manhattan from what I gather! My pops & me have done an extensive rebuild but came up slightly short on time so I am outsourcing the installation of the shocks, springs, struts, master cylinder, & tie rod ends to DeMann in Nyack (I'd recommend the shop to anyone). This summer will be quite an experiment to see if the beast will hold up in nyc/jersey shore... -Pete

It's orange - will get a pic posted soon - need to wait a month before wax/buffing it. If you see it on the streets give a honk or wave!

Mike - I did indeed live in Hoboken. The car has had alot of work since then. I made the move into the city a lil over a year ago. The car hasn't been run for almost 2yrs for a number of reasons but now I'm ready to get involved again. I won't have much flexability for work space but like I said, having the car in the city is a summer experiment. I have a summer share & think it will be nice to be able to drive out rather than take trains/taxi's, etc.
I'm scheduled to have shocks, struts, springs, tie rod ends, & new master cylindar put on next week. DeMann Motorsport in Nyack is going to do the work. And yes, the parts were bought from our fine msg board sponsor, Pelican Parts. Hopefully I'll get it in the driving condition I want & will take a trip up to your area sometime this summer. Love those winding roads up by Bear Mountain. -Pete
