 Lowering front more than rear?
How is handling affected if the front of the car is lowered more than the rear? I'm thinking between 1-2 inches difference. With some custom rocker panels which get larger towards the rear, this might be a nice agressive look...but if it doesn't handle well then forget it. Anybody done this? Thanks! -Boyo |

The rake from the front to the back should not be more than ½'' to 1/8 '' with the front lower. Any more and it mite get a bit tail happy. TMK 73 914S 2.1L |

this reminds me of the muscle cars that have the block and shackle kits installed so they can have that "stinkbug" look. when i first learned about them i was informed by a reputable auto technician that they were very wrong for handling and they didn't add much to a good launch either. given the differences between our setups of rear suspension and that of the "muscle car" i would say that it wouldn't really effect the launch. (i've never seen a 914 with wheel hop, have you?) my ramblings. -jim- |
